A mother isn't just the person who gives birth to you.  A mother is the person who gives you life.  She revels in your joys and aches in your times of sorrow.  She urges you higher and cushions your falls.  She believes and inspires and nourishes and protects.  She stands behind to reflect your light.  Her love for you began before you entered the world, endures while you walk the earth and travels with you through all eternity.  George Eliot said, "Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul to another."  Blessed are those who lift you up and rejoice in your gifts.  Blessed are those who nurture the spirit that sustains and entices us all.  Blessed are the perpetual stewards of life worth living.  Blessed are the mothers.
